PETALING JAYA: Tunku Mahmood Fawzy has replaced Rafidah Aziz as chairman of the board or directors at AirAsia X (AAX).
In an announcement made today AAX, which is the medium to long-haul airline of the AirAsia Aviation Group, said Tunku Mahmood will focus on driving corporate growth strategies and provide robust oversight of the board and senior leadership team.
Tunku Mahmood joined AAX as independent non-executive director on June 27, 2022.
AAX co-founder and group CEO Tony Fernandes said the new chairman brings with him 30 years of experience in many high profile leadership roles spanning corporate investment, finance and others.
Rafidah retired from the board effective July 1, 2022.
