
The national No 1 men’s pair lost 21-14, 19-21, 24-22 in a pulsating match that saw them having match point thrice but failing to overcome the former world champions.
The Tokyo Olympic bronze medallists even led 19-14 at one point in the rubber game but the South Koreans kept their cool to become the eventual victors.
Badminton fans rallied behind the duo after the narrow loss.

Another comment by Luqman Firdaus said: “Sedih, jangan kecam player, mereka dah buat yang terbaik (Sad, don’t condemn the players, they did their very best).”
Nay Yazid commented: “Really frustrated with tonight’s game but I know the players are more frustrated and disappointed. It was hard luck. Come back stronger in the Indonesian Open!”
