Mika: From lost kitten to king of the castle

Mika: From lost kitten to king of the castle

Mika was initially named Mia before it was discovered that he was male.

Four-year-old Mika belongs to Rachael of Puchong in Selangor, Malaysia.

An orange tabby cat, Mika was first adopted as a kitten into the household of his owner, Rachael, around August 2015.

It was her mother who first spotted Mika wandering outside their home in Puchong. Reluctant at first to take the kitten in, she relented eventually and Mika found his forever home.

The whereabouts of his siblings and mother still remain a mystery.

At first, he was thought to be female and was named Mia. Then certain parts of his anatomy began to make its appearance after which he was promptly renamed Mika.

While his elderly canine counterpart, Champ, acts as the doorman, Mika is the pest control agent of the house. Lizards and cockroaches tell tales of a genocidal monster who captures and mercilessly torments their brethren to the point of death.

As for his post-massacring activities, he enjoys annoying the family by sleeping on their warm digital devices and their dirty laundry as well as begging for head rubs.

Keep baths away from him though. As is cat belief, bath time is an instrument of torture.

Mika loves nothing better than acting as pest-control agent of his home.
