NEW YORK:
The TV event will be broadcast at 8 pm EST on Saturday, April 18 on ABC, NBC, CBS and other international broadcasters.

The six-hour special, curated by WHO and Global Citizen in collaboration with Lady Gaga, will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.

“One World: Together at Home” will feature musical performances by some of the biggest names in the music industry, along with the real-life experiences of healthcare workers on the frontlines of the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Among those taking part are Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Burna Boy, Chris Martin, David and Victoria Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, FINNEAS, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan and Stevie Wonder.

Additional musicians and celebrities making appearances during “One World: Together at Home” are Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Alicia Keys, Amy Poehler, Awkwafina, Camila Cabello, Celine Dion, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Lopez, LL Cool J, Lupita Nyong’o, Matthew McConaughey, Oprah Winfrey, Pharrell Williams, Shawn Mendes and Usher.

While Lady Gaga has already raised more than US$35 million for the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund, “One World: Together at Home” is not actively requesting donations.

“We want to raise the money before we go on air. When we do go on air, put your wallets away, your credit cards away, and enjoy the show,” the Oscar winner noted during an at-home livestream earlier this April.

Aside from “One World: Together at Home,” WHO and Global Citizen previously launched the Together at Home campaign in an effort to “promote unity amid the Covid-19 pandemic’s social distancing protocols.”

The series of virtual concerts has since featured performances from artists such as Chris Martin, John Legend, Charlie Puth, Common, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, Niall Horan, Steve Aoki, Jennifer Hudson, Miguel, H E R, Anthony Hamilton, Rufus Wainwright, Hozier and Julianne Hough.
