PAS slams lack of investigation into Zahid’s Terengganu promises

The party’s deputy president Tuan Man Tuan Ibrahim contrasted the case to that of 10 Kedah exco members who were questioned for alleged involvement in rare earth elements theft.

SEREMBAN:
PAS criticised the government today for not probing deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi over announcements of various donations and grants for Terengganu’s youth ahead of the state elections, which some critics had equated to a bribe.

The party’s deputy president Tuan Man Tuan Ibrahim compared this to what happened in Kedah, where 10 executive council members were called by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission regarding alleged cases of corruption and abuse of power to steal rare earth elements.

“Don’t let the people lose faith in the government,” he said at a Perikatan Nasional ceramah in Paroi, today.
