GEORGE TOWN:
The Penang government has yet to decide whether to declare a state holiday on polling day for the state elections, says chief minister Chow Kon Yeow.

This comes after DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng called for the state holiday to be declared to encourage more people to come out and vote.

“I will decide later. Whenever a public holiday is declared, employers and industries tend to make noise,” Chow told reporters at a walkabout at New World Park.
