“At such an age, Ibrahim should rest more and not be easily startled by normal issues. Don’t torment yourself,” Subang Dapsy chief Edry Faizal Yusof told FMT.
He was responding to Ibrahim’s claim that he could not sleep for “50 hours” after DAP had at the Pakatan Harapan conference promised to defend Islam, Bahasa Malaysia, the sovereignty of the Malay rulers and Malay special rights.
DAP, Edry pointed out, repeated many times that the party would uphold the Federal Constitution.
Meanwhile, fellow DAPsy activist Syefura Othman echoed similar sentiments and sympathised with the former Pasir Mas lawmaker.
Fondly known as “Rara”, she said Ibrahim may have been concerned that the secular party was able to shed the anti-Malay and anti-Islam label.
Ibrahim had yesterday also warned the Malays to not be easily fooled by DAP’s claims that they are not anti-Malay or anti-Islam, as DAP was particularly vocal whenever it came to issues concerning Islam and Malays.
The leader of the right-wing group pointed out that Malays did not even make up 30 per cent of leadership positions in the DAP, where important posts were held by the Chinese.
