“Support DAP for Batu Kitang. We don’t want opportunistic candidate(s) from PKR,” Ng commented on a Facebook post by PKR media coordinator Ginie Lim.
Ng’s caustic comment stems from the two Pakatan Harapan allies’ multi-cornered clashes in six state seats, namely Batu Kitang, Mambong, Simanggang, Ngemah, Murum and Mulu, after both failed to reach a consensus on seat allocations.
In her post, Lim had condemned Ng for his previous “nasty” attacks on Voon, saying it was unbecoming behaviour as her party’s candidate had been passionate in serving the people on the ground for the past ten years.
In a previous post by DAP “Superman” Hew Kuan Yau, which Ng shared on his Facebook page, he had said: “Ask PKR to go to hell.”
Voon faces DAP candidate Abdul Aziz Isa in the May 7 polls.
Abdul Aziz was fielded after the DAP alleged that PKR had breached its agreement with them by contesting in the same seats.
The Batu Kitang seat had earlier been handed over to PKR after the latter agreed it would not contest in five other seats that DAP had an interest in.
