Fatimah Hassan, 73, had taken a driving test on Oct 4 but failed and was determined to retake the test.
“I am so grateful to Allah. Words cannot describe my feelings of happiness. It was as if a heavy burden was lifted from my shoulders when RTD announced that I had passed the test.
“Now that I have obtained the licence, I feel more confident and do not fear driving in front of authorities anymore,” she told Bernama at her residence here yesterday.
Fatimah, who was the first candidate to retake the driving test, said her children had supported her efforts.
She also thanked RTD and her instructor, Roslan Mansur, 60, who had patiently taught her until she succeeded in getting her licence.
