
In a statement, Proton said the visit was intended to help dealers and service centre operators upgrade their facilities to accommodate upcoming Proton models in the coming year.
Those who went to China for the visit had the opportunity to study daily operations there.
Ryan Lai, the director of Nilai Proton 4S outlet LHM One Stop, said, “The service centre has a waiting lounge that looks similar to that of a five-star hotel.”
Lai was also pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service given, saying that such an atmosphere would be expected of a premium European car brand.
After test-driving the Geely Boyue, which will soon be released in Malaysia, Susan Leong from Kuantan’s Hoi Keen Service said, “It has a luxurious interior and looks premium for its segment.”
The Geely Boyue is expected to enter the Malaysian market in late 2018 or early 2019.
