
He said one such incompetence was the failure of the PH government to formally nominate a speaker to the Dewan Rakyat, which was supposed to be done 14 days before the House convenes.
The House convenes on Monday.
Najib singled-out Human Resources Minister M Kulasegaran who had said PH’s critics were nitpicking on the PH leadership to shift the attention to what he called “Najib’s political oppression”.
However, the former premier said critics of Pakatan Harapan were genuinely worried about the way the government was being run and had not conjured up anything to shift the attention away from his graft trial.
Najib said it was so typical of the PH government to pass the buck to the previous Barisan Nasional-led government when they failed to fulfil their election promises.
“I am no longer the prime minister or part of the current administration, so why am I blamed for the issue of the appointment of the speaker?
“The excuse of ‘semua salah Najib’ appears to be a standard operating procedure of PH. It must come to an end. Or is it going to carry on for the next five years?
“These kinds of excuses is not fair for the people, furthermore to those who are hoping for a better new government. Or the people would continue to be in the shackles of ‘harapan’? ” he said in a statement posted on Facebook today.
