Rosmah arrives for police questioning on 1MDB

KUALA LUMPUR: Rosmah Mansor has arrived at the Commercial Crime Investigation Department headquarters in Jalan Tun Razak here for questioning to assist in investigations into the alleged misappropriation of funds from 1MDB.

Dressed in a black and white baju kurung, the former prime minister’s wife arrived at Menara KPJ at 9.43am, accompanied by her sons Riza Aziz and Norashman Najib, and her lawyer Tuan Iskandar.

A source was previously reported as saying that Rosmah would be quizzed by the Anti-Money Laundering Crime Investigation Team.

Three weeks ago, she claimed trial to 17 charges of money laundering amounting to RM14 million.

If found guilty, she faces a jail term of between five and 15 years, and a fine of RM5 million or more under Section 4 (1) of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act.
