Outgoing vice-president John OT Ghani reminds delegates not to insult other parties.
SHAH ALAM:
Outgoing PKR vice-president, John OT Ghani has urged party delegates to refrain from insulting other political parties, including Umno.

The PKR Beaufort division representative pointed out that delegates should be mindful that most of PKR’s leaders were from Umno.

“In the debate yesterday, there was a delegate calling Umno a ‘s**t’ party. This should not have been said during a debate by a delegate.

“Many of us are previously from Umno, and this will create a bad image for the party,” said the former Umno man who was once Kimanis Umno chief and the party’s state liaison deputy chief.

Yesterday, a PKR delegate urged the party leadership and its members to safeguard the party and not let it become a “s**t” party like Umno.

The PKR Johor delegate, Md Ysahrudin Kusni, said since the historic 14th general election (GE14), the party has been seen a surge in applications from Umno members.

He also cautioned PKR against accepting these members and said opportunists should be rejected.

John  also urged the party leadership to keep track of promises made before GE14.

He was referring to PH’s promises to fulfil the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) as it was part of their election manifesto.
