Tian Chua alarmed over arrests of PKR members in sex video probe
The party vice-president says its disciplinary board must act against those involved in criminal acts.
KUALA LUMPUR: PKR vice-president Tian Chua said he is alarmed over the arrests of members suspected to be involved in the gay sex videos implicating party deputy president Azmin Ali.
This shows they are acting against the party’s values of rejecting gutter politics, he told FMT.
Tian Chua was referring to the six-day remand order on former Santubong PKR chief Haziq Aziz and five others until Saturday issued by a Magistrate’s Court.
Two of the unnamed suspects are also believed to be PKR members.
The remand order issued yesterday falls under Section 377B of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
Tian Chua called on the party’s disciplinary board to take action against anyone found guilty of using such tactics in removing a senior minister.
The former Batu MP said the disciplinary board should not tolerate any members involved in criminal acts.
“Take firm action to preserve the good name of the party.
“I call for all to be united against gutter politics. No one should use these tactics to overthrow party leaders,” he said.

He reminded PKR members the party was formed to reject gutter politics and they should respect the fundamental reasons why it was set up by Anwar Ibrahim.
