Selangor identifies 79 flood-prone areas in state

The state government advises residents in these areas to make the necessary preparations.

PETALING JAYA:
The Selangor government has identified over 70 flood-prone areas in nine districts in the state following the prediction by the Malaysian Meteorological Department that heavy rainfall is expected from October to December.

The state government went on to advise residents in these areas to make the necessary preparations and comply with directives from the local authorities from time to time.

“We have also instructed the relevant authorities to prepare for floods, landslides and storms,” it said in a statement.
