KOTA KINABALU: A planned event to announce the candidates for Barisan Nasional and Sabah PPBM in the coming state election has fizzled out.
The event had been scheduled for 10am but Sabah BN election chief Bung Moktar Radin arrived almost an hour later, with Sabah PPBM chief Hajiji Noor following suit.
Both leaders made their speeches but no announcement on the candidates was made by either of them.
The event’s name was also changed to “Ramah Mesra with leaders from BN and Perikatan Nasional”.
Nominations will be held on Saturday and polling day is on Sept 26. Early voting is set for Sept 22.
