
It is believed to be part of the on-going rotation of senior police officers mentioned by Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador recently.
The most prominent transfer is that of Bukit Aman criminal investigation department (CID) deputy director Mior Faridalathrash Wahid who has been appointed the new Perak police chief.
Police corporate communications head Asmawati Ahmad in a statement said Mior is expected to helm the department effective Dec 21.
Another transfer involves Mazlan Santarai, chief of Perak Special Branch, who has been appointed as Perak deputy chief police officer with the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police.
Bukit Aman crime prevention and community safety department (CPCSD) community policing division assistant director, Mustafa Khan Abdul Samad takes over as the Bukit Aman commercial crime investigation department (CCID) deputy director (Strategic Planning).
Bukit Aman CCID (Financial/Corporate Criminal Investigation) assistant director Sasikala Devi Subramaniam has been promoted to Bukit Aman CCID deputy director.
Bukit Aman Special Branch (E2) assistant director Shazeli Kahar will be the new chief of Perak Special Branch, with Mohammad Mashdik Yahya, who is the management officer of Bukit Aman Special Branch, taking over Shazeli’s current post.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Abd Hamid will replace Munusamy Rengasamy as head of the Kuala Lumpur PDRM College, Centre for Investigation and Prosecution Science Studies. Munusamy will be transferred to the administrative division of the KL PDRM College.
Abd Hamid was previously with the administrative division of the Selangor police’s management department.
Mohd Zaki Ashar, the head of Kedah narcotics criminal investigation department (NCID) will be transferred to Bukit Aman as the federal NCID assistant director (Intelligence).
