
Takiyuddin said the sitting will only end when the policy stage of the budget is completed.
“The Dewan Rakyat (sitting) will end after all ministries have replied at the (budget) policy stage,” he said.
Another nine ministers are scheduled to wind up their 2021 budget replies today.
Traditionally, the budget vote will take place after the policy stage to determine if it has the majority support of the MPs.
The sitting was extended by one hour yesterday until 3pm to allow more ministers to reply to the questions posed by MPs on budget allocations.
The budget is the first by the Perikatan Nasional government led by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin since taking over power in March. It is allocating RM322.5 billion for next year’s national expenditure.
