
In a statement, he said four of them involved schools, three were community clusters, two were workplace clusters, one linked to a detention centre, and the remaining one linked to a religious gathering.
Three clusters were detected in Sarawak, two each were from Penang and Johor, while Melaka, Kedah, Selangor and Putrajaya each had one cluster, respectively.
Clusters that recorded the most cases today were Kok Lanas (78), Jalan Khidmat (72) and Sungai Lemayong (65).

The new clusters are:
Sarawak
- Sungai Lemayong – a community cluster in Meradong. Positive cases were reported on April 12 after a targeted screening on the community in Sungai Lemayong, Sarikei. 151 people were screened, 69 tested positive.
- Duranda Emas – a community cluster in Serian. The index case was detected on April 13 during a screening prior to inter-district travel. The name of the cluster refers to Taman Duranda Emas, Siburan, where the virus was reported to have spread. 75 people were screened, 19 tested positive.
- Taman Mesra Bako – a community cluster involving Kuching and Samarahan. The index case was detected on April 9 through a screening of symptomatic persons. The name of the cluster refers to Taman Mesra Bako, Jalan Bako, Kuching, where the virus was reported to have spread. 721 people were screened, 50 tested positive.
Penang
- Pintasan Kampung Jawa – a workplace cluster involving Barat Daya, Timur Laut and Seberang Perai Tengah. Positive cases were reported on April 6 after a targeted screening on workers at a factory in Pintasan Kampung Jawa 1, Kawasan Perindustrian Bayan Lepas, Barat Daya. 982 people were screened, 30 tested positive.
- Jalan Perai Jaya – a cluster linked to the religious gathering involving Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah and Seberang Perai Selatan. The index case was detected on April 14 through a screening of symptomatic persons. The cluster involves a social activity that took place on April 8 in Jalan Perai Jaya, Bandar Perai Jaya, Seberang Perai Tengah. 14 people were screened, 11 tested positive.
Johor
- Jalan Anggerik 21 – an educational institution cluster in Johor Bahru. Positive cases were reported on April 21 after a targeted screening on school students in Jalan Anggerik 21, Taman Johor Jaya. 651 people were screened, 13 tested positive.
- Pagar Siput Dua – a cluster involving a detention centre in Kota Tinggi. Positive cases were reported on April 21 after a targeted screening on detainees at the detention centre in Jalan Sungai Siput, Pekan Kota Tinggi. 169 people were screened, 36 tested positive.
Selangor
- Jalan Langat Ceria – an educational institution cluster involving Hulu Langat, Petaling, Klang, Kuala Langat, Gombak and Sepang. The index case was detected on April 18 through a screening of symptomatic persons. The cluster involves students at a school in Jalan Langat Ceria 4, Taman Langat Ceria, Hulu Langat. 144 people were screened, 50 tested positive.
Melaka
- Pengkalan Batik – an educational institution cluster in Alor Gajah. The index case was detected on April 17 through a screening of symptomatic persons. The cluster involves students at a school in Jalan Pengkalan Batik. 196 people were screened, 37 tested positive.
Kedah
- Anggerik Cempaka – an educational institution cluster in Baling. The index case was detected on April 19 through a screening of symptomatic persons. The cluster involves students at a school in Jalan Kulim-Baling. 87 people were screened, six tested positive.
Putrajaya
- Putra Tiga – a workplace cluster involving Putrajaya, Seremban in Negeri Sembilan as well as Petaling and Sepang in Selangor. The index case was detected on April 21 through a screening of symptomatic individuals. The cluster involves staff at an administrative centre in Persiaran Perdana, Presint 3, Putrajaya. 33 people were screened, eight tested positive.
Meanwhile, Noor Hisham said eight clusters officially ended today. They are the Sungai Berumbung, Jalan Asuhan, Jalan Wawasan Sembilan, Jalan Tun Mutalib Tiga, Tapak Bina Lembah Selatan, Solar Ria, Persiaran Setia construction site and Kayu Gading clusters.
