
Senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this was decided a long time ago.
Currently, six districts in Selangor, all districts in Kelantan and five in Kedah have been declared to be under the movement control order, with interstate and inter-district travel prohibited.
Ismail said the police are authorised to approve or reject interstate and inter-district travel applications.
A large number of inter-district movement for vaccinations is expected in the next few weeks, with the optional AstraZeneca vaccination which started yesterday.
All 268,000 AstraZeneca vaccination slots for those living in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor were snapped up in less than three and a half hours on Sunday.
Meanwhile, on the status of areas under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO), Ismail said the lockdown at Rumah Panjang Matthew, Pakan, Sarikei, Sarawak will end tomorrow as scheduled.
The health ministry recorded 16 Covid-19 cases there from 67 screenings.
The EMCO at three residential areas in Lahad Datu, Sabah will also end tomorrow. The localities are Taman Aman 3, Taman Aman Jaya and Taman Palm Heights.
There were a total of three positive cases from 174 screenings at these localities.
Meanwhile, the EMCO at Rumah Panjang Dinggai, Pakan, Sarikei, Sarawak will be extended to May 19 as there were still transmissions among the residents with new cases being recorded.
On the arrests yesterday, Ismail said police arrested 301 individuals for breaching movement control order SOPs yesterday. Out of the 301 persons, 293 were fined while eight were remanded.
Among the offences were failure to record personal details or check-in with MySejahtera (127), failure to wear face masks (70), flouting physical distancing rules (19), and others (85).
