Wee, who stated on Tuesday the operations would take three days to complete, said he received a report from the Rapid Rail recovery team at 5.24am today that both trains have been removed after three non-stop shifts of work carried out by engineers and technical staff.
TR40 reached the Subang depot safely at 3.45am while TR81 reached the Gombak tail track at 4.51am, he said on Facebook, accompanied by photos of the operations.

“Prasarana will focus on track repair work from the Kg Baru station to the KLCC station.
“However, the recovery team has had to power down (shut off power supply) the entire stretch involved, namely from the Dang Wangi station to the Damai station, which involves five LRT stations.”
The stations are Damai, KLCC, Ampang Park, Kampung Baru and Dang Wangi.
Wee said that once the repair work is completed on that stretch, an inspection will be carried out by the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) to confirm the track’s safety.

He said that since there is still one track closed after the incident, there will be a “bottleneck” as the service will only operate on one track from the Damai station to the Pasar Seni station, which involves seven stations.
He said the “platoon” method will be used for two trains entering the track in the same direction to reduce the bottleneck, adding that 58 trains on the Kelana Jaya line will be fully operational without a reduction in frequency.
“I assure you that Prasarana will work hard to repair the track today so that the Kelana Jaya line LRT service will be fully restored in the near future,” he said.
“When the track is repaired, there will be no more bottlenecks and LRT services will operate at 50% capacity as required throughout the movement control order, with SOPs tightened until June 7 without a reduction in frequency.”
