KUALA LUMPUR: Three victims of the LRT train collision along the Kelana Jaya line on May 24 receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hospital Kuala Lumpur are recovering well, transport minister Wee Ka Siong said.
The trio are in a stable condition, Wee said in a Facebook post yesterday.
He said a 37-year-old woman passenger who had undergone brain surgery on May 25 had made good recovery.
A 52-year-old male patient also showed improvement and would be undergoing spinal surgery today.
The condition of the third patient – a 26-year-old woman – had also improved, and she would receive further treatment by an ENT specialist and ophthalmologist.
Wee said he had been in constant communication with their families during the past few days.
A total of 213 passengers were hurt in the incident.
