PETALING JAYA: The “#BenderaPutih” (white flag) campaign is a community initiative to help those in desperate need of food and assistance in light of the worsening Covid-19 health and economic crisis.
The campaign encourages those who are struggling financially to reach out for help without fear or shame by displaying a white flag in front of their home as a sign that they need immediate assistance.

Latest additions to the list:
1. Mix KamiCare Helpline
Mix Radio aims to distribute food and essential items nationwide to people in need. Those who need assistance may text your name and address and tell why you need a KamiCare help pack to the Mix WhatsApp at 016-4935555.
Due to overwhelming response, the radio station may not be able to reply to all messages.
2. HeroMarket
The supermarket chain is arranging goodie bags for those who raise white flags in housing areas near HeroMarket in the Klang Valley
If you see anyone raising a white flag and in need of support, let them know through Whatsapp at +60105117051 with the following information:
1. House address
2. An image of the house with a white flag
* Campaign period: July 5 to 18
* 50 sets of goodie bags will be arranged a day
* Goodie bag will be sent the same day if the message is received before noon
3. Kits of Kindness
Individuals in need of aid should fill out the form on the Instagram @kitsofkindness_msia’s bio to receive a free help kit.

4. The Lost Food Project

5. Masjid Raja Haji Fi Sabilillah, Cyberjaya
A food bank has been set up and individuals regardless of race and religion are welcome to drop by at the mosque and take the food you need.
