PETALING JAYA:
A specialist hospital in Selangor has denied it was offering walk-in Covid-19 vaccinations, contrary to claims making rounds on social media.

Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara (THKD) said vaccination appointments were allocated via MySejahtera under the national Covid-19 immunisation programme (PICK).

“Walk-ins are not allowed,” it said in a statement.

According to the message, the hospital was offering the Sinovac vaccine starting July 5.

Those keen, according to the message, must be registered with MySejahtera and did not need an existing appointment for vaccination

Interested parties, it said, must also be able get themselves to the hospital on short notice.

TKHD went on to say that it has since been “inundated with requests to register on its backup list for the vaccine.”

“We would like to clarify that candidates listed on our back-up list are not guaranteed to receive the vaccine and are only contacted in the event there are last minute cancellations.”
