This surpasses yesterday’s record of 11,079 cases.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 6,377 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 759,705.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 867,567.
There are 101,359 active cases with 878 patients being treated in intensive care and 432 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 118 deaths take the number of fatalities to 6,503.
Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with 5,051 while Kuala Lumpur had 1,749 and Negeri Sembilan 1,537.
This was followed by Melaka on 526, Kedah (504), Pahang (400), Johor (396), Sarawak (289), Sabah (286), Kelantan (236), Penang (210), Terengganu (189), Perak (164), Putrajaya (40), Labuan (38) and Perlis (3).
There were 11,592 local infections today, comprising 9,659 Malaysians and 1,933 foreigners, as well as 26 imported cases.
The 118 deceased comprised 108 Malaysians and 10 foreigners, with 13 of them brought in dead. All but 21 had existing medical conditions.
