PETALING JAYA: Some 67% of teachers across the nation have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, says education minister Radzi Jidin.
Radzi said 85.17% of those teaching students sitting for examinations have also received their first dose.
“As for school staff, 54.52% have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Efforts will be made to increase the vaccination rate among this group,” he said in a Facebook post.
Radzi also congratulated those involved in the national Covid-19 immunisation programme for administering a record high 507,050 doses yesterday.
“The education ministry will continue to work closely with the Covid-19 immunisation task force (CITF) to accelerate the vaccine rollout to teachers and school support staff,” he said.
