
In a statement, he said this was in line with the party’s decision to withdraw support for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s administration and due to that he has resigned from the board.
“I have resigned from the board,” he said in a letter dated yesterday.
He thanked deputy prime minister and defence minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob for the appointment.
“I further thank everyone in LTAT for their cooperation during my tenure,” he added.
However, he said Umno respects the institution of the Malay Rulers and places importance on the needs of the rakyat which has been forsaken by the prime minister.
