Landslide win in Melaka assured if PN, MN work together, says PAS man

Khairuddin Aman Razali tells of a ‘winning formula’ to win 21 of the 28 state seats in Melaka.

PAS strategic director Khairuddin Aman Razali said Umno and Bersatu should not risk losing to PH in the Melaka state election due to differences between them.
PETALING JAYA:
Perikatan Nasional and Muafakat Nasional can win the upcoming Melaka polls by a landslide if Umno and Bersatu are able to put aside their differences and work with each other, says a PAS leader.

In a Facebook post, PAS strategic director Khairuddin Aman Razali told of a “winning formula” proposed by deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, where incumbents get to defend their seats.

He said this would mean that Umno would get to defend its 14 seats and Bersatu its two seats, adding that these constituencies could be won easily with the backing of the supporters of all three parties.

“The remaining 12 seats will need to be distributed among the three parties. With the support of all three parties, five seats could be easily won through cooperation.

“With this, PN and MN would win the Melaka state election strongly with 21 seats out of the 28 in the state. Pakatan Harapan can then just throw in the towel,” he said.

Khairuddin urged all the parties to continue negotiating for the state polls, adding that the current federal government was formed thanks to the unity among the three Malay-Muslim parties.

“Do not risk losing our victory in the Melaka state elections to PH because of disunity.”

The Melaka election will be held on Nov 20, with nominations fixed for Nov 8.
