TAWAU: Two people were killed while 10 others were injured in an accident involving three vehicles in Jalan Taman Semarak here this evening.
The incident involved a Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Hilux and a Proton Saga.
One of the deceased is a 20-year-old woman known only as Nurfaizah. The identity of the other victim who died has not been ascertained. Both died on the spot.
According to a spokesman from the Sabah fire and rescue department, the deceased and six others were travelling in the Land Cruiser. The occupants were trapped in the four-wheel drive which ended up on its side after the crash.
The injured victims, including those in the other vehicles, were sent to the hospital for treatment.
