State secretary Jaul Samion said the Sarawak tourism, creative industry and performing arts ministry, chief minister’s department, forest department, Islamic religious department, Sarawak Forestry Corporation and Regional Corridor Development Authority had been selected for this anti-bribery management project.
“The regulations provided are to be complied with. They will curb improprieties, such as bribery, abuse of power, malpractice as well as leakage, from occurring,” he said at the launch of the project here.
According to him, ABMS is an internal control system to detect, prevent, operate, enforce, evaluate and improve anti-bribery management effectively.
He added that the anti-bribery actions to be undertaken under this pilot project would serve as a benchmark and reference for other ministries, departments and agencies to implement similar initiatives to act more proactively in developing more quality and transparent regulations.
