“We hope the authorities can reveal who is the real mastermind,” said Perak PH Youth chief Mohamad Hairul Amir Sabri, according to Utusan Malaysia.
Hairul said that another report will be made to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
“Claims that the land has been sold, as raised in the state assembly recently, have become a cause of concern, this is why we made a report so that the authorities can take action,” he said, after lodging a report at the Ipoh district police headquarters.
Recently, Perak menteri besar Saarani Mohamad said that he welcomed any party who wished to lodge a police report on the sale of the land. He gave an assurance that the state government would hand the matter over completely to the authorities to investigate.
The issue arose after Aulong assemblyman Nga Kor Ming claimed that the land had been sold without the state government’s permission.
Saarani said that the sale of the land was done during the previous PH administration to a private company for the purpose of mixed development in the area.
