PETALING JAYA: Kelantan Amanah deputy chairman Che Ibrahim Mohamed has revealed that Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah will lead a bipartisan group in Kelantan.
In a Facebook post, Che Ibrahim congratulated Tengku Razaleigh, who is better known as Ku Li, on leading the coalition, called Angkatan Amanah Merdeka Rakyat Kelantan, saying the Gua Musang MP “transcends party and sectarian boundaries”.
He added that the bipartisan group was ready to join forces and give full cooperation to bring change to the people of Kelantan.

Che Ibrahim also said that the first programme launched by the bipartisan group would take place on May 7.
On April 25, a source close to Tengku Razaleigh played down talk of a possible tie-up between the veteran MP and Amanah to topple the PAS-led state government in the next general election.
According to the source, a recent meeting between Tengku Razaleigh and Kelantan Amanah leaders had been blown up by the opposition to be more than what it was.
The speculation was triggered by a recent buka puasa gathering between Tengku Razaleigh and Kelantan Amanah leaders, including former state party chairman Wan Abd Rahim Wan Abdullah and state youth chief Hazmi Hassan.
FMT has reached out to Tengku Razaleigh’s aide and Kelantan Umno chief Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub for comments.
