
PETALING JAYA: A family of five were killed when their car collided with a pickup truck on the East-West Highway near Banjaran Titiwangsa today.
According to the New Straits Times, the five were travelling in a Perodua Alza on the Gerik-Jeli road before they crashed into a Toyota Hilux at about 3.40pm.
Two others suffered serious injuries, said a spokesman for the Perak fire and rescue department.
The injured victims were admitted to Hospital Jeli in Kelantan for treatment.
Those who died were Rodhi Othman, 58; his wife Sharifah Rohana Syed Sagaf, 59; their daughter Siti Aishah, 32; their son-in-law Ahmad Khomaini Abu, who was in his 30s; and their five-year-old granddaughter, Zara Hana.
