KUALA LUMPUR: The public are advised to be wary of scam phone calls allegedly from those claiming to be from the communications and multimedia ministry.
Ministry secretary-general Mohammad Mentek asked the public to verify the calls with the ministry on its official lines at 03-8911 5351, 03-8911 5188, 03-8911 5258 or 03-8911 5265.
“The public are also advised not to provide or disclose any information to the callers,” he said in a statement.
Any suspected scam phone call or text message must be reported to the commercial crime investigation department (CCID) response centre at 03-2610 1559 or 03-2610 1599.
