He advised all parties at all levels to avoid announcing the seats they plan to contest in GE15, saying that discussions on the matter should be done privately.

He was commenting on a FMT report, where Negeri Sembilan Muda chief Tarmizi Anuwar declared his party’s intentions to contest the Kuala Pilah parliamentary seat.
Tarmizi said that Muda in Negeri Sembilan had started approaching the locals in the constituency since a year ago, adding that it is a seat currently held by Bersatu’s Eddin Syazlee Shith.
Yesterday, Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said his party had begun preliminary discussions with Pakatan Harapan (PH) on joining the coalition.
Syed Saddiq said the party was also open to holding official discussions with PH’s presidential council on the matter.
The Muar MP added that the party was targeting no more than 15 seats in the upcoming general election since Muda planned to be part of a coalition.
However, he did not elaborate on the number of parliamentary and state seats targeted.
