PETALING JAYA: The top five leaders of Umno will meet to discuss the 15th general election (GE15) on Sept 30, after their initial meeting slated for tomorrow was postponed.
Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan said the meeting will be held at 8pm, and that the Supreme Council will meet on the same evening.
In a brief statement, he said the original date for the meeting was postponed because Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has to attend an official event in Bangi.
Ismail had informed reporters of the postponement on Thursday.
According to him, the top five leaders will meet first, followed by the political bureau and then the Supreme Council.
The top five are party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, deputy president Mohamad Hasan and the three vice-presidents – Khaled Nordin, Mahdzir Khalid and Ismail.
