Zahid said BN will also propose the appointment of deputy prime ministers from Sarawak and the peninsula to ensure that the people throughout the country are well represented.
“There is nothing wrong with having three deputy prime ministers as the position itself is not mentioned in the Federal Constitution,” he said at an event in Kimanis, Sabah.
Zahid, who is also Umno president, then expressed gratitude to Parti Cinta Sabah president Anifah Aman for choosing not to contest in Kimanis and pledging to support BN candidates in the upcoming polls.
He said if BN wins the elections, Anifah will be “rewarded” at the federal level.
Zahid added that should BN storm to victory at the polls, its allies in Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) would also win.
“If BN wins, GRS wins,” he said. “It won’t be difficult to solve political problems.”
GRS comprises Sabah Bersatu, Parti Bersatu Sabah, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR), Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and United Sabah National Organisation.
