PETALING JAYA: Former Ketereh Umno chief Annuar Musa has confirmed receiving his letter of expulsion from Umno.
However, the letter, signed by party secretary-general Ahmad Maslan, did not specify the offences he had allegedly committed, he said.
“The letter only mentions the relevant sections of the rules without mentioning any acts or allegations,” he said in a statement.
The letter said the Umno Supreme Council had decided on Dec 8 to strip Annuar of his party membership for violatiing party ethics.
Annuar said he would respond “in a day or two”.
Annuar was one of the three grassroots leaders who were dismissed for criticising Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and also allegedly helping the party’s rivals in the recent general election.
