According to local radio station Kupikupi FM, former deputy Tuaran Warisan Youth chief Abdul Salim led the members in submitting their membership forms to Hajiji, who is also the Gagasan Rakyat president.
They joined Gagasan Rakyat’s Sulaman division, with 16 new party branches set to be established.
“With the addition of these former Warisan members, Gagasan Rakyat’s strength will be bolstered, especially in Sulaman,” Hajiji said.
“I hope they will work hard with Gagasan Rakyat members and leaders to ensure a big win in Sulaman in the next state election.”
Hajiji is also the Sulaman assemblyman and has represented the constituency since 1990, when he was formerly in Umno and Bersatu.
