In launching the coalitions’ joint manifesto, state PH chief Aminuddin Harun said they want to make Negeri Sembilan a developed state within the next 10 years.
Their manifesto comprises 10 key pillars and outlines 70 initiatives for sectors like the economy, education, housing, people’s well-being, and youth, among others.
“This manifesto considers the needs and the welfare of the multiracial community in our state, regardless of religion, race, age, gender, and social status,” said Aminuddin, who is also caretaker menteri besar.
PH-BN promised to build 4,000 units of affordable homes during its term for families and single youths. It also pledged to provide up to RM1,000 in special aid for those seeking to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
The unity coalition also said it planned to set up new industrial areas in Negeri Sembilan.
Other promises in the manifesto include free hawker licences for the next five years, a special English language programme for students, a RM1,000 cash incentive for students who score straight As in their SPM/STPM/STAM examinations, and a RM150 monthly allowance for university students from poor families.
PH-BN also promised to set up a dialysis centre in every constituency’s service centre, provide subsidies for B40 youths to obtain a motorcycle licence, set up a food tourism hub in every district, and provide housing for second-generation Felda settlers.
