Zahid in good health after surgery, says daughter

Nurul Hidayah says the deputy prime minister is in high spirits after a procedure on Thursday.

Deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had to put off his surgery because of time constraints and a packed schedule, says his daughter, Nurul Hidayah.
KUALA LUMPUR:
Deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is in good health after undergoing surgery on Thursday, according to his daughter, Nurul Hidayah.

She also expressed her gratitude to all for their concern and prayers for her father’s recovery.

“Alhamdulillah, abah is well after undergoing a surgical procedure on Thursday, which was supposed to have been done earlier (but was delayed) due to time constraints and a packed schedule.

“As a family, this is the best time for us to be together, to be a source of encouragement for him to recover and be healthy so that he can continue serving the country,” she said in an Instagram post today.

Nurul Hidayah said Zahid, who is also the rural and regional development minister, was in high spirits.

“May Allah reward his sacrifices and service to religion, society and the country,” she said.
