
In a statement, PetDag said the shortage is expected to persist until Dec 31.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and wish to assure our customers that we are actively working with the relevant authorities and stakeholders to minimise the disruption,” it said.

Previously, Sarawak’s domestic trade and cost of living ministry said it was waiting for an official statement from PetDag regarding the shortage affecting most petrol stations in Sabah and Sarawak.
Sarawak DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen was reported as saying that the diesel shortage in the state has been ongoing for the last two weeks, alleging that certain parties were using the subsidised fuel for industrial purposes.
