2 men killed when their motorcycles collide near Sungai Petani

One of them was attached to the engineering division of the RMAF base in Kuala Lumpur.

PETALING JAYA:
Two men, including a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) staff member, were killed when their motorcycles collided along Jalan Kampung Kubang Sapi, Sidam Kiri, Sungai Petani, at about 7pm today.

Kuala Muda police chief Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail said Amyrul Safuan Fadzil, 31, who was with the engineering division of the RMAF base in Kuala Lumpur, was on his way from Sidam Kiri to Pinang Tunggal at the time.

His motorcycle was involved in a collision with the one ridden by Hambalee Ishak, 27, who was coming from the opposite direction.

“Amyrul suffered injuries to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Hambalee also suffered injuries to his head and also died,” he said in a statement today.

The bodies of both victims have been taken to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital’s forensics unit for an autopsy.
