2 men arrested after woman found dead in Puchong hotel

The woman was found covered in blood in a hotel in Taman Mawar, Puchong, at around 10pm yesterday.

Serdang police chief AA Anbalagan said the duo, both aged 39, were arrested at 3am.

Two foreigners were arrested this morning to aid an investigation into the alleged murder of a foreign woman in Taman Mawar, Puchong.

The suspects were arrested after a worker at a budget hotel in Taman Mawar informed the police that a woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found covered in blood in the hotel at around 10pm yesterday.

Serdang district police chief AA Anbalagan said the two men, both aged 39, were arrested at 3am today.

“They have been remanded until Jan 6 to facilitate the investigation. The post-mortem will be conducted at Serdang Hospital to ascertain the cause of death,” he said in a statement.

The case is being investigated for murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which provides for the death penalty or a minimum imprisonment of 30 years with up to 12 strokes of the rotan.

Anbalagan urged those with information about the case to contact the nearest police station.
