
The districts are Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Pasir Puteh, Bachok, Tanah Merah, Machang, Kuala Krai and Jeli, Bernama reported.
“The irrigation and drainage department will continuously monitor and update flood warnings if significant rainfall persists in these basins,” it said, warning that the forecasted floods could occur earlier or later than anticipated.
The flood situation in the east coast has eased over the past two days after continuous heavy rainfall led to a third round of evacuations for some residents.
Currently, 487 people are in relief centres in Perak, Johor and Kelantan due to floods. Perak is the worst-hit at the moment with 380 victims in Muallim.
There are 69 evacuees in Kota Tinggi, Johor, and 38 in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.
