MACC tracking down Erdasan’s suspended director Mak in graft probe

It was reported yesterday the group is taking legal action against Mak Siew Wei for alleged fraud involving RM46.47 million.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission is on the lookout for suspended Erdasan Group Bhd executive director Mak Siew Wei to assist in an ongoing investigation.

In a statement today, MACC urged those with information on Mak, 50, to contact investigating officer Khairul Ariffin Ghazali at 012-3235996 or email [email protected].

MACC said Mak’s last known address was 33, Jalan PJU 8/12C, Rafflesia Damansara Perdana, 47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Yesterday, The Edge reported that Erdasan was taking legal action against Mak for alleged fraud involving RM46.47 million.

Erdasan, formerly known as AT Systematization Bhd, is suing Mak for allegedly diverting the company funds to various third parties without any valid justification.

It was reported last week that the company suspended Mak as its executive director pending an investigation into possibly questionable transactions that occurred in 2020 and 2021.

Mak, a board member since 2013, is Erdasan’s largest shareholder with a 7.835% stake in the firm.
