PETALING JAYA:
Police launched an investigation after a group of men allegedly assaulted a TikTok user who was hosting a live stream in a housing area in Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

Sungai Buloh police chief Hafiz Nor said the men were purportedly unhappy with the victim, 47, for “advising them” not to act like gangsters and get into fights, Kosmo reported.

“This is believed to have offended them, leading to a physical attack on the victim at his residential area,” Hafiz said.

He said the assault took place in Bandar Seri Coalfields and that the victim lodged a report after the incident.

He also said the cops received two viral videos of the incident at 12.57am yesterday.

Investigations are being held under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting, which is punishable by up to two years in prison, a fine, or both, upon conviction.
