In a Facebook post, Asyraf said the consent judgment was recorded before judicial commissioner Isa Aziz Ibrahim at the Melaka High Court.
“Alhamdulillah, may this serve as a meaningful lesson to all to act responsibly and refrain from making defamatory statements that can damage reputations and undermine institutions,” he said.
He said Mas Ermieyati admitted that she had made false and defamatory statements against him and Mara.
“She has agreed to issue a written apology, retract her statements, remove all related video postings across her social media platforms, and pay RM50,000 in damages to Mara,” he said.
He said the damages would be used for the benefit of Mara’s students, as previously pledged.
“Not a single sen of the RM50,000 in damages will be used for personal purposes. I have instructed Mara’s management to channel the funds, upon receipt, into the agency’s waqf account to benefit underprivileged students, the poor, and orphans,” he said.
Asyraf sued Mas Ermieyati last year over a series of allegations, including claims that he was not funding technical and vocational education and training (TVET) students.
Mas Ermieyati had challenged Asyraf to explain why the online application process for the March 2025 student intake remained closed in May that year.
She also asked him to clarify the status of delayed disbursements for TVET loans and whether Mara had discontinued the technical and entrepreneurial skills training programme.
She likewise asked whether public funds had been used for recent domestic and international trips by Asyraf and his entourage.
