PETALING JAYA: A 20-year-old chef pleaded guilty at the Seremban sessions court to raping his girlfriend’s teen daughter in February.
According to Berita Harian, the man entered his plea after the charge was read to him before judge Surita Budin.
He was accused of raping the 16-year-old at a house in Taman Dato Undang Haji Mohammad Sharif, Rembau, between Feb 26 and Feb 28, at around 8am to 10am.
The charge was framed under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code, which carries a punishment of up to 20 years’ imprisonment and whipping, upon conviction.
The court allowed him RM10,000 bail and fixed June 15 for submission of documents and sentencing.
Deputy public prosecutor Norazihah Asmuni handled the prosecution. The accused was unrepresented.
