Former TV3 journalist Jaffry Azman Dahalan, known for his vocal advocacy on environmental and community issues, died at Sultan Idris Shah Hospital in Serdang this morning.

The news was confirmed by his son, Azali, when contacted by Bernama today.

Azali said his father, 62, died at 6.45am of a heart attack.

“The body is still at the hospital and all arrangements are being handled by my brother,” he said.

Azali said the body will be taken to Surau As-Siddiq, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Cheras, before burial at the Bandar Tun Hussein Onn cemetery.

Jaffry Azman was a seasoned TV3 journalist who served the station for many years, notably leading the Aduan Rakyat segment alongside Karam Singh Walia, who died on April 6.
